The letter "U" by the artist Catherine Klein (1861-1929). Catherine was born in East Prussia and later moved to Berlin, where she studied at the Vocational School and the Art School. Catherine is one of the most respected and popular flower painters of all time. She operated a studio in Berlin and trained young women how to paint.
This letter is from her famous Alphabet Series. The alphabet cards were often sent as a love token to those whose names began with the letter and consequently it is almost impossible to find or assemble a complete set. We have searched for a complete set of these rare cards for 32 years and discovered this set only this summer.
The letters in this collection are available as single quilt blocks in various sizes.
